This guide is designed to provide a clear, consistent foundation for our mentors as they educate and shape the next generation of judges. By focusing on these core characteristics, we ensure that every judge learns to recognize and reward the true essence of our breed.
Balance
Symmetry of all parts of the entire dog. Balanced. Proper angulation.
Movement
Balanced, efficient movement with reach and drive. Holds the same outline as standing.
Bone
Heavy boned with good muscling, yet elegant.
Square, Medium-Size
Compactly built, muscular and powerful, for great endurance and speed.
Topline
One-piece level topline. Slightly rounded , yet well filled out croup. Tail is a continuation of the topline.
Head
Resembling a blunt wedge. Chiseled with deep-set, dark almond eyes. 42 correctly placed teeth.
Temperament
Noble. Fearless. Alert. Loyal. Obedient. Watchful. Energetic. Determined.
