I have been a member of the DPCA since before 1987.
The years have taught me a lot and I continue to learn something new every day.
I have served on this BOD since 2020. As a breeder, Goldgrove Dobermans, I shared my last 30 years with Sharon Pflueger. She passed last year, 2024, and gave me the torch to continue her passion and develop my own.
My belief is to try and breed to the standard and continue to search out health benefits that all will eventually benefit from.
This BOD position is not for the faint of heart. Decisions are made with the breed and the club always first, but not always easy.
I hope to continue that path after being appointed to fill one position. Public Education is very important and I am pleased to be the BOD liaison to this committee. PEC started the very important Veterinarian Externship Program to train Veterinarians the art of cropping. It is our breed standard and it must be done honorably and professionally. This committee consists of all volunteers giving of their time and expertise, to implement this program.
All for the breed, I might add.
Thank you for the opportunity and I pledge my loyalty to the Doberman Pinscher.
